Open Mic Night:  Tomorrow’s Open Mic night will run from 4-7 p.m.  All are welcome to participate!  Visit the NWTC Office to reserve a spot ahead of time.

Candy Cane Grams!  Buy candy cane grams during lunch next week Tuesday, December 10th – Friday, December 13th!  They will be delivered during Advisory during the last week before Holiday Break.  They are $2 each or 3 for $5!

Driver’s Education applications are being accepted for the next session.  Please submit your application to the Northwest Technical Center.  Next session dates are 1/6-2/21.  There will be a morning class from 6:15-7:15 a.m. and an afternoon session from 3:00-4:00 p.m.  Calls will be made to each household to confirm your spot in the class.

The Perspective in Human Services class is doing a food drive through the month of December.  Collection Boxes are in the main office and tech center hallway.  Suggested items are:  cereal, canned fruit and vegetables, canned tuna or chicken, pasta, mac and cheese.  Our goal is to donate 860 items, the total number of students at BFA.  Donation will be made to Franklin/Grand Isle Community Action in St. Albans.

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Please check the Lost & Found for any items you are missing.  All items not claimed will be cleaned and donated during the Holiday break.  The Lost & Found is located in the Main Lobby of the South Building and by the Cafeteria in the North Building.

The New England Police Benevolent Association (NEPBA) Scholarship Program is awarded to deserving students who have graduated from high school and have been accepted to a school of higher education.  Each of the Nine (9) winning applicants shall be awarded a one-time $500.00 NEPBA Scholarship.  Scholarship applications must be received at the NEPBA Headquarters no later than January 31, 2020.  For more details, please visit www.nepba.org or see Cpl. The Andrew L. Ray Memorial Scholarship of $2,500 shall be awarded each year to ONE (1) deserving student who has graduated from high school and has been accepted to a school of higher education at an accredited four-year college or university and shall be pursuing a career in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Labor Relations or a related field of study.  Scholarship applications must be received at the NEPBA Headquarters no later than January 31, 2020.  For more details, please visit www.nepba.org or see Cpl.   1. This assessment schedule gives students another opportunity to show proficiency and exposure to high stakes testing.
  2. Enrichment period allows students an opportunity to complete work from the semester, or a retake or redo.
  3. Enrichment period allows students an opportunity to seek help prior to the assessment on review questions.
  4. Teachers will still get a block of prep time at the end of the day, plus their two prep periods throughout the week.
  5. Regular lunch procedure – senior privileges – students attend assigned Enrichment/Brunch block by assigned enrichment teacher. Breakfast and brunch are paid with cash or use of Abbey account.
  6. Buses will leave at the end of the 2nd assessment Tues – Thurs. and following the make-up assessment period on Friday.
  7. Students who are taking the bus home Friday but have no make-ups, are to wait in the cafeteria, library, or gym following their Period 7 Assessment. The buses will board at 11:45 and depart from the North Building turn-around at 11:50.
