VOTE FOR A TEACHER!!  Do you want to see your teacher get their hair dyed?  From February 3rd-14th, Student Council will put out mason jars for each of these teachers:  Mr. Moore, Mrs. Rico, Mr. Pollard, Mr. Berthiaume, Mr. Hungerford, Ms. Kane, Mr. Archambault and Mrs. Bristol.  The jars will be in the Library and the Main Office.  The top three teachers with the most money in their jars will have their hair dyed!  Fill your teachers’ jars to see who gets to have their hair dyed!

Join the BFA school counselors and VSAC for our local scholarship event on February Wednesday, February 5th from 8:00-9:30 a.m. in the BFA Library.  Updated transcripts, applications and breakfast food will be provided.

Grade level meetings will be held on Wednesday (2/5) in the PACThe schedule is as follows:

  • Freshman  8:10 – 8:30 a.m.
  • Sophomores  8:35 – 8:55 a.m.
  • Juniors  9:00 – 9:20 a.m.
  • Seniors – 12:56 – 1:21 p.m.

Freshmen should report to Enrichment for attendance then proceed to the PAC.  Sophomores and juniors will be called down to the PAC.  Seniors should report to Advisory for attendance then proceed to the PAC.

** THE WINTER BALL has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 8th from 7-10 p.m. in the BFA Gym.  Admission is $5 per person.  If you want to bring a guest, please pick up a guest permission form in the Main Office.  Permission forms must be turned in by the end of the school day on Friday, February 7th.

It’s back!!!

The Special Olympics Young Athletes (YAP) is looking for volunteer coaches!  The YAP program is an innovative sports play program for children with and without disabilities ages 2 through 7.  YAP is designed to provide opportunities for young children to be active, have fun, and learn foundational sports skills.

Coaches are paired with a child ages 2-7 to help facilitate pre-sport activities. 

The YAP program meets on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The program will start on Saturday, March 7th and run for six consecutive Saturdays ending on April 11th.

An informational and coaches sign up meeting will be held on Tuesday Feb. 11th at 3:00 in B120A (Ms. Norton’s Room). YAP coaches need to attend the informational meeting or contact Mrs. Fabrizio @sfabrizio@maplerun.org for information.
