MRUSD Elementary School Transfer Program Now Accepting Applications for 2018-2019

If you are interested in having your child take part in the program, please obtain an application and program description from http://www.maplerun.org/o/mrusd/browse/11336.  Complete the form and return it to the address on the form by March 15, 2018.  You may also request the form from the Superintendent’s Office at 28 Catherine St. in St. Albans (802-524-2600 X11).  If more than the allowable number of students apply and there are limited openings, a lottery system will be utilized to determine the students who may transfer.  Please note that on July 19, 2017, the MRUSD Board approved a motion to expand the Elementary Student Transfer Program to allow children of district employees who live in the district to apply for transfer and it will not count against the quota.

What is Girls on the Run?

Girls on the Run is an after school program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Through interactive activities such as running and playing games to discuss important issues, participants learn how to celebrate being girls. The girls also train together to walk or run in a 5K (3.1 mile) event.

What does Girls on the Run do?

One girl put it this way, “I learned that I am the boss of my brain.” Helping girls take charge of their lives and define the future on their terms. You can also think of it as Can University—a place where girls learn that they can. No limits. No constraints. Only opportunities to be remarkable.

SATEC is still looking for coaches for our 3-5 team. Please contact After School Programs Coordinator, Rose Bedard 802-752-9703 or mrbedard@maplerun.org if you are interested in coaching.
