The University of Vermont is coming to BFA for a visit.  The college representative will be here on Wednesday, October 23rd at 8:45 a.m. during Enrichment.  If you are interested in attending a presentation, please stop in the Guidance Office and sign up.  Please take a pass for your Enrichment teacher to sign giving you permission to attend.

Is it time to think about quitting nicotine?  Do you know what’s in your vape?  We are welcoming you to attend a confidential group called Build a Better Bagel.  The group meets every Wednesday during Enrichment in Room W-202.  Please see Nurse Val, Nurse Jodi, or Ashlie Olio for more information!

BFA’s Film Fright Night!  Come out to see Ghost Busters on Wednesday, 10/23 in the PAC.  $3 suggested donation at the door, proceeds donated to charity.  Trick or Treating down the hall for those who come in costume.  Trick or Treating starts at 6:30, the movie starts at 7:00 p.m.

AP StudentsIf you have registered to take one or more AP tests, your deposit is due by 11/1/19.  Please drop off completed forms and deposits to Mrs. Gunter in Guidance.

Are you actively involved in community serviceConsider applying for state and national recognition through the 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.  Applications are due by November 5th. 

Who is eligible?

  • students in grades 5-12
  • has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred at least in part after September 1, 2018.
  • Completes an application and submits it to a school principal by November 5th

BFA is offering a field trip to VTC’s TRY A MAJOR EVENT on November 14th from 8:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Programs include Business, Computer Information Systems, Dental Hygiene, Electrical Engineering, Nursing, Pilot Technology, and Respiratory Therapy.  Many of these programs are 2 years in length and guarantee jobs at graduation.  Space fills quickly.  Please check your school email for more info and return the form to Guidance ASAP.
