Energy producing solar panels have been placed on the southern side of the school's maintenance shed. The Direct current power they produce is converted to alternating current with an inverter located on the outside of the building. The power produced is a modest but important step the school is taking to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels for energy production. It is expected to offset the energy needs of the Pre-K building going up beside it.
