Soccer Clinic Grades 5-8 Information

SATEC Athletics will be hosting a free soccer clinic for students in grades 5-8 who are interested in playing this fall. The clinic will be held on August 7-9 at SATEC.

Athletes are encouraged, but not required, to join us for three sessions of action packed drills and games. The clinic’s purpose is to increase soccer knowledge and to improve physical skills while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.  Participants will be divided into teams by age and/or level and will rotate to stations that cover the fundamentals of soccer.Please more information below.

Where: SATEC’s soccer fields

(Please use back parking lot for drop off and pick up) Who: Any SATEC student entering grades 5-8 who are interested in playing soccer.

Dates and Times: Monday, August 7th, Boys 5-8 4:00-5:30, Girls 5:30-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8th Boys 5-8, 4:00-5:30, (5:30-6:00 Parent/Player Meeting) Girls 5-8, 6:00-7:30. Wednesday, August 9th Boys 5-8 4:00-5:30, Girls 5:30-7:00 p.m.

• Please note that there will be an informational Parent/Player Meeting on August 8th @ 5:30 at the end of boys’ clinic and before the girls’ clinic starts.

Rain or shine! The only weather that will keep us from playing is thunder and lighting. Please come prepared and dressed appropriately.

Pre Season Check List Not mandatory but helpful 1. Soccer ball 2. Mouth guard

Mandatory 1. A good attitude 2. Cleats 3. Shin Guards and soccer socks 4. Water Bottle 5. Proof of Physical in the last two years. 6. A Parent/Guardian to fill out The Player/Participation form (you will have to pick up one up at school, if you weren't on the previous sign up list or you can get one at the clinic.)

7. Attend the Parent/Player meeting

Soccer season begins on September 1st for some teams. In order to participate, all paper work must be completed and handed in by August 30th. Student-athletes will not be able to participate until their paperwork is in.
