NWTC Appreciation Night & Certificate Pick-Up For NWTC second and third year students, there are four key dates outlined below, but you will only need to be mindful of TWO:

· June 1st, 2nd, or 3rd: Certificate Conferral (by program). Schedule outlined below.

· June 5th: Appreciation Night Live Ceremony (6:00-8:00pm) on YouTube Live.

Students will be able to come to the school to pick up their program completion certificates. To keep traffic on campus (and Main Street) at a minimum, we have assigned specific times for each program to come to the school (this is outlined below). We ask that students follow the same semi-formal dress code, as done in the past. Procedures have been put in place to ensure social distancing and health guidelines are met throughout this event.

We ask that each student pose for a photo in our designated photo area (in front of the Marie Thomas Memorial Garden at our main entrance) before returning to their car.

Graduation - June 9 - June 13th

As stated in last week’s update, this year’s commencement will be a 2-part graduation.  It is highly recommended that you watch the YouTube event on Thursday, June 4th at 6 p.m.  This will be your graduation rehearsal.

On June 9th - 11th you will arrive at the Collins Perley Complex at your assigned time slot.  Refer to your time at the end of this document.

You will arrive in your cap and gown, and walk-in alphabetical order.  We suggest that you ride to the Complex in the same car as your family. You are limited to four family members to join you for the ceremony.  Upon your arrival at the Complex, you will be directed where to park.  Please stay in your vehicles until you hear your name announced over the public address system.  When called, staff will assist you in lining up outside of the Southside of the Complex.  You and your two family members will walk through the ice rink and tennis court, up to the graduation stage.  You will walk across the stage and receive your diploma.  Once off the stage, you will have an opportunity for a professional photo with Whipple Photography.  Your family is welcome to take photos while you are on stage.  BFA will be purchasing one professional photo for each senior.  Once your photo is taken, you will be ushered out the Northside of the Complex and will return to your vehicles.  This whole process will be filmed.  All of the graduation speeches will also be pre-recorded.  These recordings along with musical pieces will be pulled together as a production for you all to watch from your homes on Saturday, June 13th at 11 a.m.  This will be aired on Northwest Access Broadcast Comcast Channel 1079 and YouTube as well.  This production will be made available to all seniors in a media file.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact Theresa Callan (527-6400 or tcallan@maplerun.org).
