Anyone who walked up the front entrance steps into St. Albans City School in recent years noticed how problematic the stairs were. The metal strips on the edge of many steps had begun to separate from the concrete. The application of glues and sealants helped minimize tripping hazards, yet the stairs remained an eyesore.
Now the stairs are being torn out and rebuilt. We expect the new configuration and the quality of the construction work will make for an excellent change.
