Maple Run Unified School District is proud to offer an Early Childhood Program for children ages 3 and 4. Our preschool programs are designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where young learners can grow, explore, and build a strong foundation for future learning.
Our programs are located in five schools across the district, serving families in St. Albans City, St. Albans Town, and Fairfield. Each location offers high-quality early learning experiences led by caring, experienced educators who support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
At Maple Run, we believe the early years matter. Our preschool classrooms focus on play-based learning, building relationships, developing early literacy and math skills, and helping children gain confidence as they prepare for kindergarten, which begins at age 5.
Preschool Registration
Preschool registration for the upcoming school year is now open.
Because we have a limited number of available preschool spots, placement is determined through a lottery system.
How the Lottery Works
All registered students are entered into the lottery.
Priority is given to children who are in their year before kindergarten (turning 4 by September 1) and to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Participation in the program for one year does not guarantee placement the following year.
Families will be notified after the lottery, and classroom placements will be shared in June.
Registrations received after the lottery date will be placed on a waitlist.
We understand that the lottery process can bring questions, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
