DIGITAL MEDIA

This course focuses on a broad mix of video production, post-production(editing), graphic design, animation (both 2D & 3D), electronic music, web video, and other trending media tools.  Students will explore communication tools used within the exponentially expanding world of digital media.  An emphasis will be placed on students developing artistic, innovative technological skills while working on a variety of digital media projects.  Through hands-on, project-based work, students will use hardware and software for digital audio production, graphic design, gaming design, virtual reality, and projection design for live performances.  Adobe CC, Blender, Arturia V Collection, Native Instruments Komplete, Ableton Live, YouTube editor, and various programming IDEs are a few of the multiple applications that will be utilized in this course.  Students will also be encouraged to participate in work-based learning opportunities.

Digital Media A/B
This class is an option for students in grades 10, 11 and 12.

Over the course of the two-year program students may earn:

Embedded Credit: Art (.5 credit per year)

Credentials: Adobe Certified Associate in InDesign; Adobe Certified Associate in Illustrator; National Career Readiness Certificate

Dual Enrollment: Community College of VT - Intro to Adobe Creative Cloud (3 credits) - Only available Junior and Senior Year

Learn digital photography and create unique images using Adobe Photoshop.
