Maple Run Unified School District is proud to share the latest episode of our podcast, Tap Into Maple Run: Episode 6 – Gratitude Spotlight. In this episode, Superintendent Bill Kimball and Assistant Superintendent Megan Grube are joined by special guests John Cioffi and Eric Bushey to explore the district’s Core Value of Respect & Diversity.
The episode highlights how embracing different perspectives and experiences not only strengthens our schools but also fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment where students, staff, and community members can thrive.
Wellness Tip: Keep a Mini Gratitude Journal
This week’s wellness tip focuses on the simple yet powerful practice of gratitude. Keeping a mini gratitude journal can help shift your mindset from stress or negativity toward positivity and joy.
How it works: Each day, write down three things you’re thankful for. They can be big or small, such as a warm cup of coffee, a kind gesture from a colleague, or a quiet moment of reflection.
Consistency tips: Pick a time each day—morning, lunch break, or before bed—to reflect and write. Over time, your list grows, providing a meaningful record of positive experiences.
Making it meaningful: Include different types of gratitude—people, experiences, and personal achievements. Notice patterns to help shift your mindset from negative to positive.
“Even small daily reflections of gratitude can have a big impact on your well-being. Take a few minutes each day to notice and record what you’re thankful for—it’s a simple practice that strengthens your mind, body, and connections with others,” says Bill Kimball.
