If you care about our schools, our community, and the future of local education, serving on the Maple Run Unified School District School Board is a meaningful way to make a difference. Board members help ensure all students have access to a rigorous, safe, and meaningful education and support a welcoming environment where students and families can thrive.
In 2026, three school board seats are up for election:
1 City seat
2 Town seats
You do not need prior board experience to run. Many board members begin simply because they care about students, want to support educators, and believe in strong public schools. Serving on the school board offers a chance to:
Help ensure all students receive equitable access to high-quality learning
Represent community values in important district decisions
Learn more about how our schools operate and how public resources are used
Work collaboratively with fellow community members on issues that matter
While school boards face real challenges—changing enrollment, rising costs, and growing student needs—this work also offers the opportunity to positively shape our schools and support the joy, curiosity, and growth of students and families across Maple Run.
