BrightChat

This summer, Vermont Governor Phil Scott signed House Bill H.480 into law, putting Act 72 into effect. This new legislation emphasizes the importance of clear and reliable communication between schools and families.

At Maple Run, we are committed to strong communication because it builds strong partnerships. Our staff already connects with families in many ways, including:

  • BrightArrow (emails, phone calls, texts)

  • Maple Run staff emails

  • Direct phone calls/voicemail

  • Google Classroom / Google tools

  • Parent-teacher conferences

  • Student planners / take-home folders

  • School newsletters / weekly updates

  • District newsletter: Tap Into Maple Run

  • District podcast

  • In-person meetings or appointments

  • Official Facebook & Instagram pages

  • School & district websites

Now, we are excited to introduce BrightChat as a new addition. BrightChat allows for secure, two-way communication between families and staff. Staff members can create individual or group chats, and families can respond either privately or to the group. To reply, families will need to download the BrightArrow ParentHub app.

With BrightArrow for mass communications and BrightChat for real-time two-way messaging, Maple Run is continuing to make communication clear, accessible, and supportive for all families.

If you are having any problems or have questions about BrightChat, please reach out to our Maple Run IT team directly at mrusdhelpdesk@maplerun.org.
