ALL CLEAR has been received from the St. Albans P.D. The Secure the School order was lifted St. Albans City School at 1:30 p.m.
Normal school activities will resume and regular dismissal will be performed. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Secure the School is a precautionary measure against the threat of potential violence in the surrounding community. Secure the School requires locking all classroom/office doors and closing entrance and exit points on the school’s perimeter. The objective is to protect against a potential threat in the community from coming onto campus.

St. Albans City School is in Secure the School due to reports of a threat in the area. The incident seems to be isolated approximately 8 blocks away from the school. Out of abundance of caution, all students have been moved indoors for the remainder of the day. We’re told the incident should be all clear by dismissal time. The following bus runs may be delayed for drop off – Buses 1, 9 and 10. Students that do not ride the bus will be dismissed as normal.

Please remember that we work very hard to keep your children safe. We urge you to avoid coming to the school or calling our office until you are notified that normal school activities have resumed or it is dismissal time. This allows us to maintain a safe environment for our students and staff, as well as respond quickly to any emergency communication.
