Be Here. Be Engaged. Be Inspired. Maple Run

It’s been a great week back! Wonderful days of learning, connection, and growing together. As we head into a new week and look ahead to the days to come, we want to pause and share an important reminder: attendance matters.

Being at school isn’t just about showing up. Daily attendance supports learning, builds relationships, strengthens routines, and helps students feel a sense of belonging. Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to read at grade level, graduate on time, and feel connected to their school community. Missing just two days a month can add up to nearly 10% of the school year, which can significantly impact learning over time.

At Maple Run, our goal is for students to be present at least 95% of the school year. We know this isn’t always easy. Life happens: appointments, transportation challenges, health needs, family responsibilities, and we approach attendance with care, understanding, and a commitment to equity. Every family’s situation is different, and we are here to partner with you.

Whenever possible, scheduling appointments and travel outside of school hours helps keep students connected to learning. And if getting to school consistently feels challenging, please know that support is available. You are not alone.
