The Maple Run Unified School District is sharing an update regarding school leadership following the recent principal search process.

After the resignation of Dr. Stephanie Gagnon on May 11, 2026, the district searched for a new permanent principal. A hiring committee reviewed applications and interviewed candidates to identify the best long-term fit for the school community.

Following careful consideration, the committee determined that none of the candidates interviewed were the right match for the permanent principal position.

At the June 3, 2026, Board meeting, the Maple Run School Board appointed Stacie Rouleau as Interim Principal of Saint Albans City School for the 2026–2027 school year. The district will restart the search process for a permanent principal this winter.

This interim plan ensures stability and continuity for students and staff while allowing additional time for the search process to continue. Teaching, learning, and student support will continue without interruption.

The district thanks the members of the hiring committee and staff who contributed input throughout the process. Their feedback played an important role in guiding this work.

As always, community members are encouraged to reach out to Superintendent Bill Kimball with any questions or concerns.
