You’re Invited:

Dear Maple Run Families and Community Members,

Thank you to the 122 families and community members who took the time to complete our recent District Communication Survey. We are grateful for your thoughtful feedback and your continued engagement in the work of our schools.

At Maple Run, our mission is to ensure a meaningful, flexible, rigorous, and safe education for all to thrive and excel. Strong communication is essential to that mission. It helps us build the welcoming environment described in our vision, where students, families, staff, and our community stay connected and engaged in learning together.

We appreciate the time you took to share your perspectives on how you prefer to receive information from the District Office. Your responses gave us important insight into what is working well and where we can improve.

A few key themes emerged:

  • Email continues to be the preferred way to receive district information.

  • For urgent messages, most families want information shared through multiple methods, including text, phone, and email.

  • Many respondents asked for clearer subject lines and more straightforward communication.

  • We also learned that many families were not aware of the Maple Run Connection, our weekly Superintendent newsletter.

We heard you.

Over the summer, we will be making adjustments to how the District Office communicates with families. Our focus will be on making communication clearer, more consistent, and easier to access, while continuing to keep our community informed about the important work happening across Maple Run schools.

We will share more details about these updates before the start of the new school year.

Thank you again for sharing your voice. Your feedback helps guide our work, and we are grateful for your partnership as we continue to serve every student and family in our Maple Run community.

We are here over the summer, continuing to prepare for the start of the school year, and we welcome your ideas, questions, or stories at TapIn@MapleRun.org.

With appreciation,
Maple Run Unified School District
